I first saw this on Google Images and thought "What episode of The Spectacular Spider-Man is that?" Now that I'm here and I've seen the gallery, I must say that you draw in the real show's styles so well! Nice!
If I may ask, what's your secret to capturing these styles and doing them well?
As for my predictions on Marvel Animation's future: the Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon that recently got announced is very different from the Loeb Universe of Marvel cartoons and if I'm right, in 2016 there's going to be a new Avengers cartoon. Hopefully that one will be done in traditional animation.
Well every superhero in the world doesn't get a happily ever after. because human beings are obsessed with money, so the show must go on! Super Hero's can't retire, super hero's can't marry anyone, super hero's can't even die without being brought back to life, Jason Todd is proof of that, true things didn't end happily ever after 4 MJ and spider man, but that's only because some moron, money craving comic book author, decided to ruin spider mans life further by undoing his marriage to MJ
I think that that author did a very good job, compared to other, he isnt a moron, he is a realist, MJ isnt perfect, so dont put her in a pedestal, Peter have other girlfriend that were much better than her, even the dead ones.
So my philosophy is turn the page, and move on, now in the New Avengers, there are posibility for Peter, Carol Danvers (Miss Marvel), she is much better than MJ, have a real job (Air Force Colonel), and could understand how is the hero life of Peter.
I dont known if their are couple or not, in internet there were many forum debating this, but I like the idea.
It was utterly moronic. The superhero who is supposed to be the epitome of taking responsibility ducks out of taking responsibility for his actions - namely, his unmasking - and sells not just his marriage but his unborn daughter to the Marvel version of Satan for the life of a woman who not only says she is quite happy to die.
The sad thing is, it wasn't even done for money - the Spider-Marriage was very popular, and the Spider-Girl spin off got a good 11/12 years of running, which is very, very impressive.
Miss Marvel (Captain Marvel as is now) is awesome. But you fail to take into account several things - MJ is a talented actress and a model (two things which she refuses to apologise for, which I think is damned awesome of her). She has a steady job more often than Pete and usually makes more. How is she 'better' than MJ? MJ is the one who understands Pete. Unlike Black Cat, she knows that what makes him special isn't his powers, it's who he is. Also, I'm not sure if Carol actually has a job right now...
Of course MJ isn't perfect. Who is? What she is, really is, is human. Brilliantly, fantastically, wonderfully human.
Can we all just agree that the Superior Spider-Man is a defilement of everything that is good in Spider-Man?
Yeah but nobody's perfect! And I don't any of the other girls where any better then MJ, besides its quite obvious that he loved her enough to ask her to marry him. I don't see him asking any of his other girlfriends to marry him; furthermore I think it is very cruel of the author to take MJ away from him for no reason at all, in fact the only logical reason he undid their marriage was so he could get more money!
Please, for example one of the dead ones, Gwen Stacy, is was much better than MJ, she would have a real job, and I not talking about the Gwen Stacy of the last movie, but the original.
If the Green Goblin didnt kill her, she would have ended married to Peter, and I think that they would ended much more happy than with MJ, and not forget that Gwen father is a cop, so she would understand the duty of Peter as superheroe.
Maybe that's true, honestly though its only speculation because the truth is she didn't survive we will never know! But personally I have always perfered MJ and also despite her flaws, I think Spider-Man really loved her and I still think it was wrong 4 the author to take her away from him!
It's quite selfish to take it off the air entirely because you can't stand it when there are some out there that actually like it BUT it's another thing if you chose tha one you like if you had to choose one or the other!
In my opinion, Spectacular Spiderman was far superior to Ultimate Spiderman. The plot was consistent, the characters had actual development, the villains could be both diabolical and sympathetic (i.e. season 2 Sandman), and it was legitimately funny! With Ultimate Spiderman, it's entirely episodic, the characters are all as two-dimensional as cardboard and barely develop beyond their established traits, the villains just pop the hell out of nowhere and all have the one-sided "Mwahaha I'm evil" personality, and the humour is so watered down and childish that even the target audience would get annoyed by it. Spectacular Spiderman was great in that it didn't base its writing exclusively on the fact that it was being made for kids, and it was an all around enjoyable show! Whereas Ultimate Spiderman takes far too much stock in the fact that its being made for kids and becomes annoyingly pandering. Basically it comes down to the choice between a show that acknowledges your intelligence or a show that insults it, and I choose the former.
I'm not knocking you for siding with Spectacular just as I'm sure you're not gonna knock me for "defending" Ultimate! I'm not one to knock anyone for anything they choose because of their opinions or what have you but I will speak out against people that word their objections/opinions to essentially reflect "I don't like this so it must be taken away where no one can see it because there's no way anyone else can enjoy this if I can't and if they can then they're just brain-dead morons with opinions that don't matter anyway" NOT that you read that way but you do reflect the 'take off Ultimate for no real reason than you prefer Spectacular when they could really coexist as 2 different canons of tha "same" characters' type of policy! I also don't feel there's anything wrong with "a show" that knows it's just "a show" and constantly breaks/talks into tha fourth wall, people like me are okay with that! Spectacular was way heavy and so much so that if tha heavy were like objectionable content then tha show would just barely be rated T for Teen on just a few episodes but I guess that's what you love about it!
Another thing is Ultimate vs Spectacular is like the inverse of '87 Turtles vs '03 Turtles! The '87 Turtles were actually ALOT more kid-friendly than their initial comic book canon that started em(don't know entirely how that works)then when they went to television they kept VERY LITTLE of tha serious tone of tha comics and it became like an instant/definite Hit! The '87 Turtles were as big a hit with kids as cartoons in general! Later on though, tha TV would try to implement more serious tones from tha comics into tha show slowly and subtley but then it slowly and subtley wasn't quite tha Big Hit that it used to be! Tha Turtles then retreated into hiding or whatever for tha rest of that generation until someone or people got tha hot idea to revive tha Turtles but with tha dark tone of tha comics alot more predominent this time around with tha humour of the '87 Edition Turtles used as like backup in '03! I initially panned it citing a comparison to it's departure from tha fun-time vibe of the '87 Turtles but ended up growing to accept it proly because ALL tha characters had more development beyond their role on tha team especially tha Turtles(who can now be identified without their colors/much was done to individualize em each)but they were still about familiar enough for the older Turtle elite such as myself!
